Meet the Florist
Hi, I’m Julissa!
I’m the owner and floral designer behind Dahlias & Roses - Casa de Flores (Spanish for “House of Flowers”), a home-based floral studio proudly owned & operated by a Latina with deep Mexican roots.
Before anything else, I’m a Wife & Mother. My Daughters are both named after flowers, which makes the story behind Dahlias & Roses even more personal. Their names were part of the inspiration behind my business, & they serve as a constant reminder of the love, beauty, & meaning that flowers can bring into our lives.
My journey into floral design began unexpectedly. For years, my Husband would surprise me with flowers, & I found myself transforming each bouquet into something uniquely my own. What started as a simple creative outlet became a passion I never knew I had - one that brought me a sense of purpose, joy, & fulfillment beyond my 9-to-5 career.
As friends & family began asking me to create florals for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, & other meaningful occasions, I realized this passion had the potential to become something more. In January 2024, I took a leap of faith & turned that dream into Dahlias & Roses - Casa de Flores.
Today, I have the honor of designing florals that celebrate life’s most meaningful moments - from joyful celebrations to heartfelt farewells. Every arrangement is crafted with intention, creativity, & attention to detail, as if I were creating it for my own family.
Inspired by my heritage & my roots in Jalisco, Mexico, I bring a love for rich color, artistry, & storytelling into every design. My work is a reflection of the beauty found in nature, culture, & the emotions behind each occasion.
With an eye for color, composition, & detail, I specialize in bespoke floral designs created with premium blooms & a personal approach. My goal is to create more than just beautiful flowers - I want every client to feel heard, valued, & confident knowing their vision is being brought to life with care.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special moments & for supporting my small business. It truly means the world to me.
